We are very pleased to inform you that the international jury for the European Garden Award has agreed on the Garden of la Ballue as one of the three finalists in the category « Restoration, Enhancement or Development of a Historic Park or garden.

The other finalists are Peterhof (Russia) and the De Nieuwe Ooster in the Netherlands.
Previous winners include Herrenhaüsser Gärten in Germany and Hestercombe Gardens in UK.
On the afternoon of the 15th September 2017, the finalists within each category will be honoured and the winners will be announced. This year, this ceremony will be held in Berlin, on the site of the International Gartenausstellung IGA Berlin 2017
The gardens of la Ballue were selected by the EGHN and joined the network in 2014.

It is the aim of the European Garden Heritage Network EGHN

to support the preservation, enhancement and creation of high quality parks and gardens in Europe, their wider use and sustainable valorisation in the concept of policies to foster urban, regional, cultural and landscape development.
